Congratulations Ed and Lesley!!!!

I am so happy to be able to congratulate our very dear friends Ed and Lesley on the new addition to their family! There are no two people more deserving of a child than they are! I was fortunate to be invited to their baby shower on Sunday and I enjoyed visiting with everyone. Abbey is just the sweetest little Angel...I could have held her all day long! Congratulations on receiving the best Christmas gift ever!

Holiday Fun!

I just realized I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought I would get caught up! We have been so busy Christmas shopping, decorating the house, and participating in lots of holiday fun! The first 2 pictures are of the Summerville Fire Department riding through our neighborhood with their lights on and sirens blasting! We thought the neighborhood was on fire at first...then to our surprise, we saw Santa riding on top of the fire truck waiving to all the kids and throwing candy out at us! Hayden said "mommy...we live in the coolest neighborhood"! Hayden and I have come home several times over the past week and found little goodies at our front door from a few of our very thoughtful neighbors. They have been so wonderful since Scott has been gone! It's nice to know they are here! We are baking Christmas cookies tomorrow and plan to surprise our neighbors and share our goodies with them!

The next pictures are just a couple that we took at the James Island County Park...Festival of Lights! We had a ball once again this year! Hayden roasted marshmellos...mommy helped him EAT the marshmellos! :) We saw Santa, looked at the big sand sculpture, looked at all of the giant Christmas cards, road the carousel and the train, and shared some hot chocolate! We had SOOOOO much fun! Just like with everything else we are doing this year...we really missed Daddy!!!! But we are so excited he will be home VERY SOON!!

The last picture is of Hayden goofing around with a Santa hat on I bought him! That was the night we decorated the house and put up the Christmas tree. We have also been attending some birthday parties and Hayden had a great Christmas party at school!

We have started decorating the nursery FINALLY! It's been painted along with a beautiful border around the whole room. I've found all of Hayden's clothes that we kept so those have all been washed and put in their place! I have the dresser full of things and the changing table is starting to get filled up! I've slowly been buying things here and there like the window treatment and hamper that match the theme of his room. Now I'm just waiting for Daddy to get home to hang the window treatment and put the crib together! As you can see, we have been VERY busy! I think that about covers it for now!

We hope everyone is enjoying their holiday!!!

Thanksgiving!

Hayden and I went to Columbia for Thanksgiving. It was a very tough holiday without Scott this year but we had plenty of family around to help celebrate! Hayden and I spent the night before at my mom's the night before...then it was up early to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. We drove to Camden around 11:30 to spend the afternoon at Grandma Shirley's house. The food was fantastic and the company was even better! The kids had a great time and Hayden DID NOT want to leave! He had a blast with all of his cousins. Thank you again Aunt Debbie for your help with Hayden!! ;) We didn't get down the road 5 minutes and Hayden was sound to sleep...all the way back to my mom's house. We had round 2 of Turkey dinner at mom's...it was so good...just like back home!

We're having another BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's been confirmed...Hayden will be getting a little baby brother! I had my last ultrasound on Monday and since Scott is not here, my mom went with me. It was so much fun watching Baby Boy Bowers move all around. Everytime she went to take another measurement, he had shifted and they had to "find" everything again. :) He's a very healthy and active baby so far! The C-section has been scheduled for March 16th and for those of you who don't know...that's Scott's birthday! We are so very excited but it's hard not having Scott home to participate in all of the activities. We miss him so much and can't wait until January!!! We don't have a name picked out yet but we are working on that! :)

Happy Halloween!

Since Halloween fell on a Friday this year, we were able to go to Columbia and hang out at the Stone's home for lots of Trick or Treat fun! We ate some great food while waiting for it to get dark enough to take the kids out trick or treating. We had a bunch of kids come early so that kept us busy too! Once Jamie got there with the 4-wheeler and trailer (with hay!) we were off into the spooky neighborhood for some fun! The kids got so much candy all while Aunt Linda and Mimi stayed behind to hand out candy at Chris and Christy's house. Once we all got back...we ate more food and enjoyed some yummy hot chocolate! Everyone had a fantastic time! What a great night! Thank you Chris and Christy for having us over! Hayden is still talking about it!

Happy Birthday Aunt Linda!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to our very sweet Aunt Linda! We hope you enjoyed your special day!! We can't wait to see you on Friday night! We love you!

Weekend Trip to Cherokee NC!

My mom, Hayden, and I took a short trip to Cherokee NC for the weekend! The leaves were absolutely gorgeous! We took a 4 hour train ride through the mountains on Saturday. Half way through, we stopped at a park where they offered white water rafting, biking, trails, lunch, and all kinds of fun things to do. Our stay there was only an hour so we just had a bite to eat and fed the ducks that were in the rushing waters beside our picnic table. We went shopping and out to dinner the rest of the evening. Sunday we took Hayden to "Santa's Land" for a day of fun at the amusement park. Hayden got to ride rides, feed a baby bear, meet Santa Claus, and play at their playground! He had SOOOOO much fun! He only wanted to ride the helicopter, boats, and motorcycles...he's not his daddy's child at all is he!!! :) After that we took a ride through the mountains, stopped at a few country stores, ate some dinner, and it was back to SC! We had a great time!

Pumpkin Patch & Hayride!

We had the most perfect day today at the Pumpkin Patch at Boone Hall Plantation! We had a spooky hayride through the woods. We fed the goats and rabbits. Hayden went down a couple slides with some friends he made there. Best of all, we came home with not one pumpkin but TWO! We got a big pumpkin that we will carve for the front porch...although, daddy usually carves the best pumpkins...mommy's will just have to due this year. :) Hayden also wanted to get a little baby pumpkin for the little baby in mommy's tummy! I thought that was so cute!! We missed having daddy with us today but we took lots of great pictures to send him!

Carolina Football Party!

We all got together at the Fulmer's house to watch the Carolina/Georgia game on Saturday. There was tons of yummy food and good company! The kids had fun running around the back yard playing football and playing on the swing set. Thank you Jenny and Jamie for having everyone over for a great party even though Carolina lost.
