Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed this special day! I was hoping to have tons of great pictures to share today but it's been a very odd past couple of days. It started with taking my mother to the emergency room Saturday night. She's been at my house with a very bad stomach infection. Hayden woke up this morning to what I thought would be a very excited, anxious little boy. Instead he became very sick to his stomach and throughout the day, has passed it to Scott and now me. We have not left the house today and not one picture taken as we have felt VERY ill all day. I was SO looking forward to a nice long weekend with family and friends. We were so sad to not make it to Camden and we missed our family so much!!! We did get to spend time with some close friends on Sunday for lunch (I'll be posting those pictures later) and other than a little last minute shopping, that's about all we've done. I hope everyone else has had a better day than we've had. I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Date Night!

Scott and I enjoyed our date night Friday night. We went to dinner in downtown Charleston around 8:30 then we went to have a few cocktails. I was even able to get Scott onto the dance floor for a song or two! :) We had a very nice time, just the two of us. We don't get to spend a lot of quality time together by ourselves so we really enjoyed that. Hayden was at home with Grandma baking Christmas tree cupcakes and watching a Christmas movie. Hayden has so much fun when Grandma stays with us. We appreciate all she does for us!

Festival Of Lights

Scott, Hayden, and I went to the James Island Festival of Lights last Thursday night. We enjoyed the evening so much! It was just cool enough to enjoy it but not freeze! Hayden's favorite part of the evening was the train ride and the fire truck made of lights. My favorite part was just spending a relaxing evening with my family during this holiday season!

Welcome Back Jackie and Mason!

My friend Jackie and her family moved to Hawaii about 2 years ago due to Military orders. (I know, you feel sorry for them right?!) Well, she called me while I was in Omaha to say that her and her 2 year old son Mason were catching a flight on a C-17 to Charleston for a visit. Her husband is a C-17 Pilot. Anyway, we all met at Chuck E Cheese Wednesday night so that the boys could meet and play together. We had a blast! They were only here from Tuesday through Thursday but I was really glad I had the chance to see them. They hope to move back to Charleston in about 2-3 years when his deployment is up.

Omaha Mall Shooting

I'm sure everyone has heard about the terrible Mall Shooting in my hometown, Omaha Nebraska. My mom and I have spoken to most of our family and friends and everyone seems to be okay. Until all of the names of the victims are released, I won't know for sure. I have been to this mall hundreds of times since I was a little girl. It's always very scary and shocking when something like this happens in a place that's so familiar. My Best Friend Jennie's sister works part time in the gift wrap/customer service area of the Von Maur store where the shootings happened. She was not working today. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone back home and their families.

Quick trip to Omaha

I just returned from a quick trip back home to Omaha Nebraska. I had so much fun visiting my family and friends! I spent most of the trip at my Best Friend Jennie's house and at my dad's. I was also very fortunate to visit my other best friend Jessie and her new baby boy. While the baby was very healthy, his mommy had complications and almost died. I was so thankful to be there talking with her after all she went through. While I was there we had a really bad ice storm. I included a few pictures. It snowed today while on my way to the airport. It was so beautiful! I missed Scott and Hayden so much since they did not go with me this time around. They both met me at the airport and Hayden was so happy to see me! Scott also greeted me with a big bouquet of red roses. It was so nice to see them and it cheered me up from having to leave my family and friends.
