Daddy's Home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today had to have been one of the happiest days in Hayden and my life!! Daddy came home this morning after being overseas for 4 very long months! What made this one especially hard was him missing all of the holidays. Hayden was so anxious this morning that we ended up leaving the house an hour and 15 minutes before Daddy's plane was supposed to be here! I drove around...slowly taking the longest route possible to the airport with hopes to kill some time. We finally arrived at 9:35AM and Daddy's flight was not scheduled to arrive until 10:16AM. We walked in and checked the board and it said his flight was delayed 35 minutes. GREAT! What am I going to do with a VERY EXCITED 4 year old for over an hour???? What else...EAT!!!! ;) Okay...a little preggo humor! Well, 35 minutes ended up turning into an hour delay. FINALLY...we saw daddy's plane land and taxi to the gate. Hayden was SOOOOOO excited to finally see his Daddy (as you clearly see in thse photos!) We have had a great day...I think Hayden has attached himself to Daddy's hip! ;) We are so proud of you Daddy and couldn't be happier to have you home safe and sound! We love you!
I do have to give a big THANK YOU to my dear mother! She basically gave up all of her free time to come to Charleston every weekend to help me and spend time with Hayden. Being pregnant, taking care of a 4 year old, house work, yard, preparing for the holidays, and working a full time job...I don't know what I would have done without her this whole time! Thank you so much mom! You are by far the BEST MOM EVER!

Christmas!
Christmas with Hayden was the best year yet! I only wish Scott would have been here to experience everything but not to worry...I video taped everything so that he could watch it when he gets home! Grandma spent the entire week with us and oh we had so much fun! She was also a HUGE help! I don't know what I would have done without her! Christmas Eve, her and Hayden made Christmas sugar cookies from scratch. I made the icing from scratch and Hayden and I were in charge of decorating the cookies. After we got done, we picked one out especially for Santa along with a cup of milk. Hayden was so excited I thought he would never fall asleep! Before we knew it, it was Christmas morning and Hayden was waking us up bright and early. It seemed like it took forever for Hayden to get all of his presents open but he was so excited and thankful for each gift Santa brought!
We were disappointed to have missed all of the celebrations that day at Grandma Shirley's in Camden. We will be there next year for sure! Hayden, Grandma, and I had a wonderful Christmas dinner and it was a very relaxing day and evening at home. We missed Daddy so much that day! We're already looking forward to next Christmas when Daddy can be here along with baby Logan! We hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year!
